A growing number of volunteers and student placements continue to give their time and effort to help support the People’s Movement of Reconciliation. We acknowledge their efforts and we know we could not do a lot of the work that we achieve out in the community without our volunteers standing alongside with us.

Our volunteers help us in a variety of ways including:

  • Working on our program areas, including our Schools Congress, Speaker Series and Reconciliation Circles to plan, coordinate efforts with our partners and audiences.
  • Helping to run our Rec SA stands at various community days, expos and commemorative days talking to the public about Reconciliation issues and engaging them in the conversation.
  • Working on research projects, reports, analysis and evaluation around our priority areas of Constitutional Recognition, Justice Reinvestment, Local Government and Education.
  • Updating our contact records and database.
  • Providing event logistics support at our major events
  • Helping to stock-take, package and distribute our branding products including tshirts and hoodies.
  • Taking photos and recording vox-pops of people.

In addition to office works, we work with additional larger groups of volunteers from the SA Department of State Development and PriceWaterhouseCoopers to help us organise our major events during our busy periods like the the major breakfast events we organise for Apology Day and National Reconciliation Week.

If you'd like to volunteer at Reconciliation SA or are student that would like to do your student placement with us, please enter your details below and we will contact you for more information
