Reconciliation SA is committed to improving education about reconciliation in schools and the wider community. This is why we’ve been working with award winning company ActNow Theatre on our interactive Schools Congress program, now called ‘Generation of Change’. This program creates change where it can have the greatest impact; with young people.

We want to extend the High School program by creating a primary school specific version where it can have life long impact, and also a healthcare specific version to address systemic racism in the health sector. We’re asking for $68,920 through the state government initiative ‘Fund My Community’ to achieve this, and we need your votes before the 29th of May!

  1. Firstly, you need to login to Fund My Community Program
  2. Once you’re there, you can look at the amazing projects to vote for – you can’t just vote for one project, you have to create a ‘plan’ by voting for many projects (it takes 30+ minutes!).
  3. Our project, ‘Anti-Racism Education’ is in there, and it’s a pretty amazing project, so please vote for it!
  4. If you work for a Primary School, High School or Healthcare organisation and want to be contacted when we develop the project, get in contact here. Also please encourage friends and colleagues to vote too, the more people the better our chances!

This is participatory budgeting which takes a bit of time, so please get comfortable!

With your support, we can build on this awesome program that addresses racism within our communities.
